Gone are the old days when CakePHP developers would complain about the in-sufficient documentation available in CakePHP. CakePHP community has not only improved existing documentations but going a step further they have added separate tabs for all three main versions (1.1, 1.2, 1.3) to make it easy for the readers to switch into one version and another.(images below)
Moreover all three collections has been translated into specific languages like Arabic, Japanese, Chinese, Dutch, Spanish and many more (with many to follow i guess). Readers can contribute towards correctness of the translations submitting their requests online.
Overall the new avatar of CakePHP cookbook is much more readable, informative and easy to understand. Availability of 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 makes it more relishing and complete than ever before. I enjoy reading it!

I believe people stopped complaining about the lack of documentation about 1/2 years ago.
Also the docs have been like that for about the same amount of time.
You’ve probably not hit those pages for over a year. It’s probably best to check with cakephp guys when they did change.
Slow news day?
Of course a slow news but i wanted this news on my blog anyhow. It’s been like saying something unsaid held for long. And see someone there is reading it so i am done.. no? ;)
